• Teach lecture and laboratory sections of CHEM V101 (Elementary Chemistry), CHEM V104 (Foundations of General, Organic, and Biochemistry), and CHEM V120B (General Chemistry II), in person and online.
• Lead course-level instructional design: renewal of the CHEM V101 laboratory manual, zero-textbook-cost course conversion, and the department's laboratory video library.

Professional activities

CHEM V101 Laboratory Manual Renewal · 2025–present Rebuilt the departmental laboratory manual (seventeen experiments and six appendices) through a reproducible typesetting pipeline, with safety and procedural details revised and a faculty review process set up for it. Selected in Fall 2026 for a ZEN Pathway B stipend to publish it as openly licensed material.

Zero-Textbook-Cost course conversion · 2024–2025 Completed the Spring 2025 ZEN conversion of CHEM V101 on Pathway One (original content), with textbook adoption extending to CHEM V120B.

Laboratory video library · 2024–2026 Built the department's chemistry lab video collection with a colleague. It began as a captioned CHEM V104 demonstration series, funded by a district stipend and built for accessibility and shared use across sections, and grew to include a CHEM V101 reference library of 67 clips made on my own time. Published on the Ventura College Chemistry YouTube channel and in Canvas.

Laboratory Safety Video · Summer 2024 Wrote, filmed, and edited a departmental lab safety video with Antonia Flores under a Faculty Special Project Stipend from the Office of Academic Affairs. The video stages the department's own safety checklist as short captioned scenes, produced in three forms for class, Canvas, and per-experiment use. Posted to the department's Canvas so any instructor can copy it into their own course.

Associate in Science in Chemistry · Spring 2025 — co-contributor and drafter of several narrative sections for the Chemistry Department's first degree, approved by the California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office (CCCCO #44993) in April 2025 and listed in the 2025–2026 catalog.

Distance Education Advisory Group · Spring 2025–present — college-wide advisory body on distance education and educational technology.

ZTC-OER Brain Trust · Fall 2026 — member; leads the redesign of the group's Canvas course.

Peer evaluation · Fall 2024 — served as peer evaluator on an adjunct faculty evaluation committee under district Form A2.

Chemistry Faculty Introduction Board · design and implementation lead.

Linked lecture–laboratory coordination · Fall 2025–present — initiated and built the shared grading framework and Canvas structure for linked CHEM V101 and CHEM V104 sections.
